Who answers for your data

acnescartreatment.net runs on its own and chooses what it measures, so it is the party responsible for that data. Questions go to privacy@acnescartreatment.net.

What is collected

How the statistics work

Your browser sends visit statistics to this site's own address, /api/trail. From there they go to an analytics provider (EU) that keeps them on servers in the European Union. Your IP address is passed along so a rough location, such as the country, can be worked out. A random code in session storage links the pages of one visit and is deleted when the tab closes, so two visits cannot be tied together. Statistics use no cookies. Visitors in the EU are counted only after they press "Allow".

The analysis link

Buttons such as "Start my analysis" pass through acnescartreatment.net/scar-scan and then open acne.today, a separate paid service. The link tells acne.today which site and which button sent you. Whatever you share there, such as photos, answers or payment details, is covered by acne.today's own privacy policy.

How long it is kept

Server logs are deleted within 90 days. Emails are kept only as long as needed to help you, and never longer than two years.

Who gets it

Only the analytics provider and the hosting company, each with only what its job needs. Nothing is ever sold.

Your rights

You may ask to see, fix, delete or take a copy of your data, to limit how it is used, or to object to its use. Write to privacy@acnescartreatment.net and expect a reply within four weeks. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
